Becca - Juliet 2 by wildplaces Becca - Juliet 2 by wildplaces
What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo called,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name;
And for thy name, which is no part of thee,
Take all myself.

Becca as Juliet.

Thanks to my lovely friend for the idea of doing photographic sequences based on Shakespeare's female characters.

Watch for more of Becca as Juliet. . . And next - Lady Macbeth starring. . . . ??? Wait and see.

I watched Zeferelli's Romeo and Juliet 100 times because I was so smitten with Olivia.

LOL me too...although it will be hectic! I'm pretty much booked every day, but the only days I can't change my plans for are those with softball practices and games. And I'd only change them for a potential date with my boyfriend for almost 10 months now!!! :smooch:  lol yay

Why thank you Kessi my friend. . . Which Shakespearean woman would you like to be for me? . . . Lady Macbeth has been cast. The rest are open. Desdemona, Miranda, Ophelia, Titania . . . .

You've got Ophelia if you'd like her. I can supply the castle and the flowers and the river. . . Let's know if you'd ever be able to find the time for another shoot. . . I'd love to do some different things with you.

Aha! The difficulty is planning a shoot without the Hamlet or Petrucchio. But it can be done. . .

Please let me know if you'd have time to be my Ophelia or Kat some time soonish.

Lovely composition. As though she's unaware that you're observing her as she awaits her Romeo (and he'd better hurry up, she looks as though she misses him).

That is a great romantic shot, she definitely has that anxious look for her lover, hoping to see him come at any moment, but not really sure he is coming...

Great work... and awesome theme.

I was debating a theme like this... which I may still do sometime in the future, though I chose the Goddesses, Roman and Greek... since most of them would play into my Renaiassance Manipulation series much better (which I am also revamping into straight Photography and/or original manipulations, as to say not using the original paintings).

Beautiful shot.

It feels too dark. Is it possible to create the moon effect without the subject showing too dark?

I'm very open to suggestion. This is experimental to me. I'm sure some of you could get a much better result via photoshop.

The only way I can think of is use one of those blue lights. But I wonder if one of those glare blue light might work better. Maybe an LED blue light.

So the light will cause the subject to give off light and yet the blue feeling of night.

I hope you will play more with this night mood. I would love to see what you come up with.
