One of my favourites from the series of shots taken at Wattamolla with wonderful, luminous Jesi

Not quite sure that I planned the shot to come out like this, but I like the vertigo perspective here . . .

This is a resubmission of an old shot. When I took it I was new to digital and new nothing about editing from RAW and not much about photoshop. This is a vastly improved version.

Everything they said and MORE!!! Serendipity is wonderful, isn't it? If you and Jesi hadn't found that rope, we'd all be missing out on a series of incredible images...

Exactly. It's great when you discover something like that on a shoot.

From such random things come some of our finest inspirations!
PS: I thought I'd let you know, I've recently published my first book, and I put an announcement in my Journal entry for all my fellow dA members! Please check it out, I hope you find it interesting!

I think this is one of your best shots to date. It's not only a photo that's great to look at, but there's also a story behind it all. It's great!

Hi
This is great - love it!! The only problem is the rope, it seems too contrived, rather than just falling over Jesi - but I know why lol

Everything else great :-)

Thats fantastic... the water is just awesome and the colour of Jessi, she truely looks dead!!

Which of coarse would be a shame :giggle:

Indeed it would. . . Previously I didn't know to alter the colouration of part of a photo without affecting the rest.

Heyyyyyyy, this shot looks great! I don't recall seeing this one--the skewed perspective would be hard to forget, I think.

The color is just right here, as well as contrast, etc., blah, blah, blah. I didn't see the original, but this version is just perfect! :bounce:

Thanks a lot. The original was pale and washed out - and jesi's skin had similar toning to the rest of the image. This time I was able to alter the colouration of her body.

This really is a vastly improved treatment of the image. It feels so rich and crisp now. It's really quite apparent that your skills with digital are growing.

Thanks Sean. . . I also had an old badly calibrated monitor before. The shots looked darker on my screen than elsewhere.

dA does that to me too. I'm pretty sure when dA resizes an image, it assigns them a different color profile than its original... the resized versions of mine on dA are always brighter and flatter. Which is why I have my account set to auto-full view, so I can see what the artists actually intended.

I go to full-view automatically as well. . . It's a pain when you look at DA on another computer and your images look totally different, presumably because they're configured differently in some way.

wow.. but that light is right on point here! as well as this 'interesting' angle fits quite well.

so the color, the contrast, those shallow reflections of the water.. they are all lovely!

great capture!

although i prefair the colours of the stone/rock images this is a great shot! looks like the sea brought her out! and the fact that your (the camera view) in the water yourself makes it amazing!
