Mark and Rachel wedding 3 by wildplaces Mark and Rachel wedding 3 by wildplaces
I don't put up many wedding shots, but I'm making an exception with a few. . . Looking for helpful suggestions / feedback.

This shot and the one which precedes are basically the same shot - one with flash; one without (silhouette). . . Interesting how enormously different they are.

Most people seemed to prefer this one. Thanks.

Whilst the other, flashed, one is great for being able to actually see the couple, this one is alot more subtle and intriguing.

A small feature which I only picked up on by studying the shot, is that the little window of light between the groom and the bride's heads could almost be made to look like a heart if the groom tilted his head forward so his chin formed the top of the heart, with their necks forming the sides.

Probably something that would not have been obvious at the time, but now most certainly would have been a bonus.

I certainly didn't notice the heart shape. . . I guess it's something that could be planned for on a future shoot of this kind. . . Thnks a lot Luke.

I'm going to be different! Sorry guys but I prefer the one with the detail. I think both shots are beautiful and I do love the silhoette, but for me the sun shining through behind the couple and seeing the details makes a better photo... its more optimistic to me - like they are looking into the future, with everything in front of them... its great!

You're not alone. It's about 15 - 5 in favour of the silhouette.

I love this one.... It give me the sense that there is a new spiritual energy :meditation: (aura) around them. This union, these two individuals are joined... They complete and create something unique and special. I could go on and on... As you can tell... I really ... really love it.

This is very cool. I would have never thought a wedding photo could be this interesting.
