Artist's Comments

I don't know if this is much of a photo, but it's a place I find visually stunning. Wish I had a panorama camera to do it justice. Nambucca Heads is on the NSW north coast.

Man, this is visually stunning!
I agree that a wider view would be more suiting.
Go get one of those throw away panaramic camera for kicks & giggles to see what you come up with. I have done that before and it worked for me.
You live in a beautiful part of the world. Don't ever take it for granted!!!

Thanks. I love all these places. . . A for-real panoramic camera is a dream that will never happen alas!
:iconkremmling:
Yeah, I know the feeling. But it never hurts one to dream....

If you had a digital camer you could have taken several frames and stitched them together. I like doing that (I've submitted a few) and it would have been great for this picture. And it's a beautiful place. Damn, I want to go to Australia.

I suppose so. But I'm hopeless with technology. I'd stuff it up.
:icongerbileater:
No, seriously, it's piss-easy. For example, I have a Canon Powershot S400. It'll help you make the panorama so that all the frames are properly aligned. Then on the computer, you use the software that comes with the camera and you don't have to do anything. Just open all the frames, click stitch and it does it all for you, with pretty good results. It's worth it.

Wow. Dark green trees and blue, blue water; the contrast is great. I can't think of anything much to critique -- the composition is very nicely done, and doesn't feel constricted at all, especially the position of the boat. Nice one. :)
