Artist's Comments
A few days ago I walked down Broadway in Sydney towards a photoshoot location and was taken aback by this sight. . . Historic St Barnabus's Church had recently been burnt down as an act of arson. . . I don't think I'd ever noticed the church, dwarfed as it is by surrounding newer buildings. I certainly noticed its absence. . .
Somehow it seemed more poignant and noble in its tormented death . . One can kill the body but not the spirit. Comments

Funnily enough, the members of the church now call it "St Burnabus"  They decided on arson then? Last I heard they weren't sure. -- Cam Joenz - Photographer Please check out my gallery! [link] I never finish anyth Oh OK. That's what I heard on a news report just after it happened. . . Maybe that was a premature conclusion. . . Wish I'd been able to get past the barrier to take some better shots. Unfortunately I was in a hurry and didn't have time to attempt trespass.

So do tell more about this latest shoot you were headed to? What have you got install for us? -- You know, you remind me of a poem I can't remember, and a song that may never have existed, and a place I'm not sure I've ever been to That was a promotional shoot for my son's band 'blindhoarse'. We shot of top od a rundown apartment building near Central. . . I'm just starting to photoshop the images now.
 What a shame...I bet it was a beautiful church.
I'm sure it would have been. . . I've never been inside it, but I've been in a lot built in the same era.
