Amazing how beautiful even mud flats can look when covered by tide and lit by a rising sun . . . Taken at Broome, Western Australia.

i know what you mean... during off peak seasons im always the only one surfing in the beaches here... and it feels lonely but seeing sunrise and sunset is just all too fulfilling... if only my camera was waterproof! hahaha..

I photograph surfers from the rocks. I'd love to have a waterproof camera and actually get out there among them.

I don't know. I've seen some surprisingly good shots from dodgy underwater cameras.

hahaha... i guess there's no hurt in trying it out right? we shall see! i just wish this wasn't the disposable type of underwater cameras...hehe..

Indeed. . . I know you can get waterproog casings for a lot of cameras, but I'd be scared to risk an expensive camera in that way.

When I lived on the coast I use to stay up all night just to see the sunrise, I miss that so much. Been at least 11 years since I've seen one. I'm going to remedy this in the fall.

This is definitely an add! Great shot!

Sunrise over the sea is pretty amazing. It has quite a different feel to sunset. It's almost deathly silent. You're totally alone. . . Thanks for the faves, buddy.

That is exactly what I've thought for years. Its such an expierence that I'll wake my kids up just to go out there and make them watch it one day.

You're welcome my friend, it was my pleasure!

On the rare occasions I go out then I see fishermen and surfers. . . They're out there at that time every day they can be. They have the world to themselves.
