Not sure if you intended it, but the pose with the closed, parallel legs, as well as the pattern on the pants and the bare feet really draws that mermaid feeling on that picture... well, the lake might have something to do with it ;)
I personally think you avoided the sun factor quite well... it's not an easy task to shoot in bright sunlight, and getting a picture of this quality and lighting with only a bit of loss in the sky is definately an achievement.

Keep up the great work... it's most impressive.

How do you always manage to conjure such a lovely smile on your models' faces?

Not sure about the sun coming from behind, though. The background appears a bit overexposed, esp. the sky.

It was a bright glary day so I shot her at times with her back to the sun so the glare wasn't affecting her. I knew the background would wash out.
I guess my models look at me and, after they've finished laughing, there's a smile for a while :)
